A guide on where to find face masks for your college classes.
School is almost back in session.
By now many college and university students who have hybrid classes, are scrambling to find face coverings, as recommended by the CDC, to use when they attend in-person classes.
With many stores having back-ordered items, I have put together a list of places where you can still find face masks.
Note that the CDC recommends that students wear cloth masks instead of surgical masks to class.

Regular Face Masks
KN95 Mask

The KN-95 masks have a higher degree of filtration than regular cloth and surgical masks.
They are ‘cousins’ of the N95 masks that healthcare workers use.
Basically the only difference is where the mask was certified.
If a mask is N95 it was certified in the US, while if it is a KN95 then it was certified in China.

Mask extender

If you have long classes, then you might want to consider getting mask extenders.
These extenders can help you release tension from behind your ears, since the mask loops will now be held by the extender.
Keep in mind this might make your mask tighter, depending on what mask you are wearing.
Face Shield

Dr. Fauci and other doctors have recently recommended that people wear face shields as well as their face masks.
Face shields can be reused as long as they are cleaned properly.
